For decades, South Korean public schools have been in session from Monday through Saturday! It wasn't until recently that they went from having school every Saturday to every other Saturday! This was a really exciting change for both the students and the teachers!
Today, February 11th marks an even more exciting change in the Korean public school schedule, because for the first time ever, THERE'S NO MORE SCHOOL ON SATURDAYS IN KOREA! That's right, kids can go home on Friday after school and actually have 2 full days to relax and be kids!
Congratulations little Korean kiddos! I hope you spend your Saturdays in the sun running around, playing with your friends, riding your bikes, and giving your mind a little break from studying! We all know you deserve it! :)
