Perfect timing!

Fridays are usually everyone's favorite day of the work week, because it means the weekend is drawing near. Usually, this is the case for me as well, but today was a different story! My 1st and 2nd grade classes were a total flop! I planned fun games and cool activities, but for some reason, my kids just were not interested! I walked away from my last class in a total funk, frustrated, sad, defeated, and ready to cry. But then...

I was handed a box with Karyn Hill's name as the return address and it was as if the box was literally holding back my tears! ... Because, I knew, inside, were the treasures I knew she'd sent me!
See's Butterscotch suckers!

Karyn, I can't tell you how this made my day! Seeing those famous See's gold wrappers and knowing the goodness inside was fantastic! I'm already on my 2nd one and hoping I'll be nice and refreshed to teach 5th grade in 40 minutes!

To each his own, I guess!

This is Sue! She is the librarian at my school, and when I saw her wearing this shirt earlier this morning, I couldn't believe it! She knows English pretty well, so I was shocked that she would buy a shirt like this. Then I thought, Maybe she thinks it says, "I love crab." So, I went downstairs to take a picture of it to show you guys.
While I was there, she said, "I love crap... D-d-o-n-g!" I started laughing and she said, "Alexis, Crap is good, because when we eat, we poop, and that's is good for our bodies."

Thank you!

There are not many things I love better than receiving packages in the mail at work! Today, I got 2! ... One from my mom, and one from Aaron's mom! :)
Remember those black heels from Target I blogged about? Well, my awesome mom sent them to me, along with a cute pair of matching tan heels! :) Thanks mom!

Aaron's mom's package had all sorts of fun stuff for our students, like sidewalk chalk, animal masks, glow sticks, sparkly stickers, etc... It was like Christmas, pulling out each item, one by one! She also included this gorgeous, hand made, antique inspired dragonfly necklace for my birthday; designed by Anne Koplik! http://www.annekoplik.com/ Her jewelry has been featured on Dancing with the Stars, 90210, etc... and is in all kinds of magazines! It's a huge step up from the stuff I have been wearing from Claire's! Thank you so much Pegg... it's stunning, and I actually put it on as soon as I saw it!

She also included a stack of family pictures, and some really cute one's of Aaron as a kid! I'm not sure which one I like better... This one of Aaron playing baseball in the nude...

... or of Aaron wearing a dress. hmmm?!

Thanks for making me smile ladies!

Scoot!

Thanks for all the name ideas for the new scooter, but during the process, we started calling it "Scoot" and it just stuck! We like to change it up and add fun endings like, "Scoots, Scooty,
Scooters, Scoots Mcgroots (that one is Aarons), Scooter-oot, etc!"
Some honorable mention awards go out to the following people who's name ideas we actually really liked!
B.B.
(short for "Burberry Beetle" because it looks like a beetle wearing a burberry accessory!)
Krista Palmer (My College Roomate)
Burby
Amy Hoppy (My sister)

I'm famous!

... well, okay... not really! But my blog came up as the top link on google when I typed, "gas on Yeongdo Island" into the search engine today!
Wondering why I typed this? Well, I was looking for a gas station on the Island that Aaron teaches, so he could fill up the scooter when he left work today. Regardles... the point is... Of 5,590 websites, mine was at the top! So, in my opinion, I'm famous... or at least my blog is!
