Dinner with friends!

Aaron and I met Ann and Crystal in Kyungsung last night for some Dak Galbi (chicken, rice and cheese, grilled at your table), which was delicious! We shared funny teaching stories and laughed about experiences we've had while living here! If you ever want a good laugh, these are the girls to hang with!

After dinner, we walked over to Thursday Party to play some foosball and darts! Aaron and I won the foosball tournament. I like to think it was because of my excellent spinning abilities, and Aaron's years of experience as a real-life soccer goalie! Either way, we dominated!

After our first game of darts as the 4 of us, a table of Koreans asked if we wanted to play together, so we obliged, of course! Once again, we were victroious! It was a great way to end the night! :)

Lesson 4: This is for you!

Yesterday, Ella and I taught our 3rd graders the phrases, "This is for you?" Then the other person asks, "What's this?" and the giver says, "It's a __________."

So, this morning, as the 3rd graders were walking into class, one of them handed me this gift and said, "Alexis, This is for you!"

I of course made a huge deal and said, "Oh my goodness! Thank you sooo much! What's this?!"

With a huge smile and a proud look on her face, she responded, "It's a ruler!"

hahah! Just what I've always wanted, A RULER!!! I love lesson 4!! I hope more of my students get the urge to pratice the phrase "This is for you" and I hope they practice on me! :)
