Backpack Vacations!

There's something about going on a long vacation with a school size backpack, instead of a suitcase, that makes it feel so much more adventurous!   This is my backpack, all ready to go!  Just zip her up, load her on my back, and I'm ready!  2 more hours till I go!!!

I've learned, when traveling to tropical places, to pack light and shop when you get there, wear clothes over and over again, never bring more than one pair of shoes - Flip Flops are always enough, make-up is optional, a camera is a necessity, bathing suits are a YES, a sudoku book is always a good distractor for the plane, a novel is the perfect companion at the beach, and an ipod is always a nice touch on those long, strenuous hikes!  With all these things, you're sure to have the time of your life!   I know I will!

Next time you hear from me, I'll be on the beautiful island of Bali!

"Anhekayseyo!"

Teacher, what's a microbe?

I never thought, in a million years, that I wouldn't know one of the words that my elementary school kids were learning at their English Hagwon.  Although, today, I was proven wrong!  Check out this vocabulary list that one of my 5th graders had to memorize for her Hagwon test today.

How in the world is microbe on the same level as pony, staple, and oven?  I don't even know what that means!!  Seriously, who makes these lists?!

Mask time!

My new favorite thing to do is use facial masks.  Jess actually got me started on it, and I immediately fell in love... So, yesterday, I bought a pack of 10 collagen masks at Gukje Market!

As soon as I walked in the door to my apartment, I ripped open the package, and applied one t o my face!  Now, as a side note, Koreans are always telling me I have a small face (which is a complement in this country)...  I've always thought, yea, maybe I do have a small face, but not THAT small!

It was proven, without a doubt, that I have a small face, when I applied my 1st collegen mask.  It was HUGE!!!  Notice though, that my forehead was plenty large!  hahaha

Mmmm, Cereal

If you know me well, you know I would be content eating cereal for every meal, which is why I was so excited when one of my students asked me if I wanted some of her new Korean Cereal Hand Cream! Forget vanilla, berry, and cucumber smelling lotion, my new favorite is CEREAL!
