Day at the Beach!

I had the day off of work thanks to Buddha and his birthday! Not sure how old he is now, but I'm sure glad he gave us the day off! :) Aaron and I decided to spend it at the beach; Da Daepo Beach! :)

We took the path around the beach to a cliffy area where there are tons of rock formations that pop up like little islands along the coast! We spotted one and decided to take our fishing pole up to the top (a climbing rope was involved!), set up shop, and spent the next couple hours fishing and enjoying the gorgeous weather!

Look what we caught! (Wink wink!)

Like 2 peas in a pod! :)

After fishing, we walked down the beach a bit and search for heart rocks! It's one of my favorite things to do at Da Daepo because there are so many to choose from! :) "Heart rock searching" is the new "shell searching," you know!
Aaron found this one! It doesn't get more PERFECT than this folks!

and this one...

Tonight, we're heading over to a temple near Semoyeon to check out the lanterns for Buddha's big birthday celebration! Can't wait! Blog to come...

Subway or Bomb Shelter!

I love going to see Aaron at his apartment... it's just his subway station that makes me second guess the journey! Most subways in Busan are approximately 6 stories below ground... Aaron's is 16!! Only 3 of which are on an escalator! Don't believe me... I'll prove it! Here's the journey from the subway tracks to the street!

and finally... the last part of the journey!
This is where I do my celebration dance that I made it all 132 steps!

PS. Aaron said he has heard that some of the subway stations in North Korea are really low so they can double as a bomb shelter! We agree it's probably the same deal here in S. Korea. Hey, at least if we're hanging out at Aaron's, we'll be safe if a war breaks out! We'll just run to his subway station!

Box of Yummies!

My Aunt Debby sent a box of all kinds of yummies for my birthday!!
(not the kind I can eat - the kind I can read, smell, and watch!)
Which is much better for my "summer body!"
2 of the most delicious smelling candles, an awesome book, a photo album, wild honey lotions, a box of tea, a movie, and 6 months worth of STAR MAGAZINE! Yes please!!!

Now I won't have to ask if Brad and Jenn are getting back together because I'll have all the info, right here, in front of me! :)

Thank you Debby, for your sweet gift!

Training Togi!

Tonight, I set out on a mission to train Togi to come when I call him! Believe it or not, it actually worked! I must be a bunny whisperer of sorts! When I tap on the floor and call his name, he "comes a runnin'!" Unfortunately, after he gets his treat, he hops back over to the exact same spot, thinking he only gets the treat if he comes from that spot! It's really adorable!

In loving Memory

For those of you who pray, PLEASE PRAY for my dear friend, an English teacher here in Korea, who's husband (26 yrs old) passed, unexpectantly, on Sunday while hiking. They are from the States and were newleyweds; very much in love and best friends... It is a horrible tragedy to lose a wonderful person like him.
