I'm not sure how I grew up involved in 'dance', but have never seen an actual performance of The Nutcracker! So, when I saw that the Seoul Ballet was coming to Busan to perform it on Christmas Eve, I asked Aaron if he would take me!
Luckily I have a husband who's secure enough in his masculinity to take his wife to the Ballet! I'm even more lucky that I have a friend who's boyfriend was up for doing the same for her! :)
It was absolutely beautiful and everything I dreamed a professional ballet to be! Such a fun way to celebrate Christmas Eve in Busan with Ash and Adam too!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! I already have one (possibly two) more visits to the Royal Ballet planned for 2013!
ReplyDeleteHope you've both had a wonderful Christmas Day (it's afternoon here but must be late evening for you). x
I loved seeing The Nutcracker! It finally started to feel like Christmas :).
ReplyDeleteHey, not to rain on your parade, but it was a terrible production. The set was awesome and how they projected a digital image on to a transparent screen in front of the actors at times. But honestly, they filled choreography with bowing and begging for applause. The lead must have fallen at least 3 times. I was with a group of 8 and out of that 7 of us had seen The Nutcracker and this was a poor effort at it. See it again in the States, England or Russia and it will be a real treat.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's good to know... Guess it can only go up from here! :)
